Prospects for Economic Development
To develop the economy and production potential of the Republic of Tatarstan,
the neighbouring republics and regions, the implementation of
the following important projects to be financed by the Republic
of Tatarstan, the Russian Federation and investors from the CIS
and foreign countries is proposed:
- reconstruction (on participation basis) of facilities of the Kamsky Motor Works in the city of Naberezhnye Chelny with involvement of foreign automotive companies;
- industrial development of heavy hydrocarbons stocks with attraction
of foreign capital and technologies;
- completion (on participation
basis) of construction of Yelabuga Motor Works with attraction
of foreign capital;
- construction of new oilrefining units at petrochemical
plants of Nizhnekamsk;
- creation of an international Logistics
centre in Zelenodolsk region of the Republic;
- designing and participating in construction of transcontinental motorway MoscowVladivostok;
- setting up free economic zones in Tatarstan;
- creation of oiltanker fleet, manufacturing of seariver vessels;
- construction of a bridge
across the Kama in the vicinity of Sorochy Gory village;
- reconstruction
of energy facilities;
- construction of international communication
means;
- reconstruction of Central Airport of the Republic to allow
its use international passenger and cargo aircrafts;
- utilisation
of incomplete construction objects at the former Tatar nuclear
power station in Kamskiye Polyany, Nizhnekamsk region;
- completion of Novomendeleyevsky Chemical Plant.
