Chistopol Lequor-Vodka Plant![]() The state enterprise Lequor and Vodka Distillery was established in 1901. The enterprise's experts have found a photo-document imprinting the solemn opening of the Chistopolsk Vineyard, the name of the enterprise at that time, where everything was hand-made and vodka was produced according to the technology of that time. The production and sale of spirits were prohibited in the first years of the Soviet power. On August 26, 1923, the Central Executive Committee and People's Commissars Soviet adopted the Decree on the Production Re-commencement. In 1936, the Vineyard was named a vodka distillery and began functioning after 13 years of suspension. Later on, the enterprise was called the Chistopolsk Liquor and Vodka Distillery. Due to the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, the output of liquor and vodka was sharply cut, and in 1944, it was only 51.9 thousand units. Begining from January 1963 until the present, the Distillery has been headed by Mr.Himajev Imam. Between 1967 and 1972, a general upgrading of all sections both of the main and auxiliary processes was carried out. Two automatic lines with the productivity of 6000 bottles an hour have been installed. The vodka production technology has been renewed as well and the volume of brand vodka production has been significantly increased. The liquor section has been put into operation, and the range of the coloured liquor and vodka products has been widened. Equipped with a modern mechanical transport section, a heated garage with elevator mechanisms, a boiler house, quite recently a wonderful dining-room and sauna were built. In general, industrial buildings with a total area of more than 1500 m2, and store-houses with 1938 m2 area were built on the 22262 m2 premises of the enterprise during the reconstruction period. The Distillery was awarded the rank of "The Enterpise with High Production Culture" for its production achievements and high production culture. Every day needs of the workers are also included for consideration. In 1992 and in 1995, two 32 apartment residential blocks were built with a total area of 2243 m2. Presently, a shop is being constructed at the border of the Distillery premises. Entering the market, all enterprises of the industry rushed to take out patents for their named recipes, "fleecing" money for their usage from their former partners. However, the specialists of the Chistopolsk Liquor and Vodka Distillery favoured the idea of creating their own secrets of vodka and liquor production. All these are excellent drinks for real connoisseurs. It is worth mentioning that the specialists of the enterprise decidedly reject the easiest and the less laborious method of manufacturing and creating recipes, i.e. the usage of synthetic aromas and dye-stuffs. Our permanent partner in the creating of new recipes is VNIIPBT (Moscow). The vodka "Chistopolskaya" and nastoika "Cheremushki" were given the All-Union Exhibition Centre's Diploma of the Second Degree, with a medal presentation. In 1996, for achievements in the development and manufacturing of high-quality alcohol production, the Russian-American Alcohol Congress awarded the Chistopolsk Liquor and Vodka Distillery with the Honourable Diploma, and Himajev I.F. was given the degree of Honourable Doctor, with a medal presentation. Thanks to the century-old tradition of producing spirituous drinks and its highly-skilled and experienced staff, the enterprise has made this idea come true by creating genuine Chistopolsk drinks like "The Chistopolskaya", "The Chistopolskie Zori", "Chistopolskaya Jubileinaya", "Gimayevskaya Prestige", the semi-sweet nastoikas "Cheremushki", and "Wonderful", the dessert drink "Delight", and the aperitif "Chistopolskij Original". 80, Engels str., Chistopol, Tatarstan Tel: (84342) 2-23-72 / from "VOLGA" magazine (official publication of the International Oil and Gas Exhibitions 1997) / |
