Graduate of Saratov State University. Began his career in 1961,
devoting it to the military-industrial complex.
Headed a number of enterprises, occupied high posts in the military-industrial complex. Now head of POZIS, a major ammunition manufacturer in Russia. Beginning in the 1950s, the Zeienodolsk Production Association Zavod Imeni Sergo has firmly established itself on the world weapons market as a major manufacturer of ammunition for small calibre automatic cannons and 40mm fragmentation grenades for grenade launchers. Although this may not be known to many users of Russian aircraft, we also manufacture the ejection cartridges for the pilot's emergency seat. The association's specialists have trained personnel, erected and adjusted the equipment, and mastered the process of manufacture of small-calibre ammunition on POZIS licences. At the present time, we are actively pursuing new marketing approaches. Besides standard sales, these may include the setting up of new joint ventures both in Russia and elsewhere.
