"Tatenergo" production association

"Tatenergo" Production Association of Energetics and Electrification takes the monopolistic position in the Republic of Tatarstan in production of electric and heat energy.

In 1993, power stations of Tatarstan's energy system produced 27816.5 million kWh of electric energy and 40502 thousand Gcal of heat energy.

Prior 1993, 18% of electric power was transmitted outside the Republic of Tatarstan. Now the Association has extra capacity. "Tatenergo" Association comprises nine power stations with following electric and heat capacities (as of January 1, 1994):
