The concern comprises:
- 32 state farms including 17 processing vegetables,
13 processing fruit and berries and 2 nurserygardens;
- 5 wholesale and retail offices;
- "Kombiz" firm;
- central supply depot;
- small-scale wholesale shop;
- 8 storehouses;
- cannery;
- motor transport enterprise.
Total earth area is 115,500 ha including:
- 102,000 ha of arable lands;
- 78,800 ha of fields;
- 4,288 ha of orchards.
Vegetables are cultivated on the area of 3221 ha of open
fields and 115 ha of greenhouses (84 ha are heated and 31 ha are
unheated).
Our state farms produce about 70% of vegetables in
Tatarstan. 14 storehouses with total capacity of 32,600 tons
were built during the last ten years. Among them 5 storehouses
have refrigerating equipment.
Total capacity of all storehouses is 107,900 tons, namely
the capacity of ones for potatoes is 44,700 tons; for vegetables
- 35,100 tons; for fruits - 24,700 tons. Retail turnover in 1993
made up 1960 million roubles.
The concern has 7 cannery shops with total production output
of 24 milion conventional cans per year. The shops produce 60
kinds of different canned fruits (36 kinds) and vegetables (24
kinds). The concern is interested in investments aimed at
introduction of progressive processes in three directions:
introduction of cassette technology for growing and planting out
of seedlings; introduction of small capacity technology for
growing of tomatoes in greenhouses; introduction of intensive
technologie.
