The Chamber of Commerce and Industry
of the Republic of Tatarstan

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of the Republic of Tatarstan was founded in April, 1992 as a public, independent and nonprofit organization.
Its activity is aimed at creation of business infrastructure which will meet international trade traditions, standards and rules.
The structure of CCI: The Chamber is managed by Administrative Council which is elected from its members. Everyday activity of the Chamber is directed by General Directorate. The Chamber includes several divisions which help local businessmen.
The following enterprises are attached to the Chamber: "Soex-Tatarstan" - the subsidiary of "Soyuzexpertiza" Association and small enterprise "Partner". The Chamber has departments in Nizhnekamsk, Almetyevsk, Naberezhniye Chelny. The Chamber also has well developed international relations. Business contacts have already been established with Magdeburg, Leipzig, Saxonian, Franco-Russian Chambers of Commerce and Industry as well as with Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Spain, Bulgaria and some other foreign Chambers.
Membership of the Chamber is voluntary. Over 100 juridical persons are now the members of the Chamber. Among them there are individual manufacturers, small enterprises as well as large state enterprises. Industrialists' unions and associations are also the members of the Chamber.
The information system is being formed now in the Chamber. This system will allow our businessmen to use data banks of commercial information including world data banks.
The Chamber takes part in scientific research work referring to the problems of Tatarstan economy as well as in working out of forecasts for business activity development.
The Chamber promotes further business contacts between Tatarstan manufacturers and foreign partners.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan performs the following activity:
  • hinders the spread of protectionism, unfair competition and promotes antimonopoly measures;
  • promotes foreign trade development, helps local businessmen in their contacts with foreign partners;
  • establishes economic, scientific and trade relations between businessmen both inside and outside the Republic of Tatarstan;
  • renders information, legal and analytic services to its members and other businessmen;
  • trains professional personnel for foreign economic activity;
  • protects the interests of businessmen in their relations with officials at all levels;
  • attests certificates of origin and shipping documents for the goods imported from Tatarstan as well as the other documents referring to foreign economic activity;
  • performs examination, quality, quantity and completeness control of export, import and other goods;
  • performs exhibition activity;
  • certifies to force majeure circumstances according to the terms of international deals and agreements;
  • promotes production of competitive goods through attraction of foreign know-how and investments;
  • performs any other activity corresponding with its aims and which is not in contradiction with the legislation.
