Rail transport
Railroad network of Tatarstan extends for more than 900 km.
Two railway lines connecting Central Russia with the Urals are
crossed by two meridional lines in the territory of Tatarstan
with 50 railway stations and more than 60 passing sidings and
platforms.
Traffic volume (1993): passengers - 53.8 million, cargo -
8.6 million tons.
