International Conference
Mossbauer Effect: Magnetism, Modern Materials, Gamma Optics
June 26 - July 1, 2000
Kazan, Russia
FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT
The conference is one from the series of the traditional All-Russia scientific
conferences dedicated to the investigations of the hyperfine interactions
in solids by the Mossbauer spectroscopy and other nuclear methods. As was
the case in the previous conferences, the aim of the Kazan conference is
to provide a forum where scientists from within Russia and also from outside
Russia can present and discuss their research work in the field of conference
scientific topics. Junior scientists are particularly encouraged to participate,
so they can exchange ideas and cultivate personal relations with famous
scientists.
The scientific program of the conference:
-
Magnetism (magnetic and electronic microstructure, hyperfine interactions,
magnetodynamic and low dimensional effects etc.)
-
Modern materials (physical and chemical properties of perspective materials,
properties of oxides, organic materials, intermetallics, amorphous and
nanocrystalline systems etc.)
-
Gamma optics (Mossbauer optics, quantum interference effects, induced gamma
emission problem etc.)
-
Geology, crystal chemistry, biology
-
New experimental methods and techniques
The conference will consist of plenary talks, oral reports and posters.
The conference proceedings containing manuscripts of all plenary talks
and other selected reports will be published as a special issue of Izvestia
RAN (the reports of Russian Academy of Sciences).
The abstracts of the reports limited to a single page and suitable for
direct reproduction should be submitted to Organizing Committee
in two copies by the deadline of April 15, 2000.
