C O M M U N I Q U E
on the results of meetings
between the commissions of state bodies
of the Russian Federation and
state bodies of the Republic of Tatarstan
On July 2, 1992 the next meeting between the commissions of the state bodies of the Russian Federation and the state bodies of the Republic of Tatarstan
took place where a draft treaty suggested by Tatarstan was discussed.
During the discussions of the draft treaty the Parties agreed to the following:
to form the group of experts in order to elaborate the Treaty in details; to make the process of negotiations more dynamic in order to complete the negotiations in
June-August 1992; to recommend experts to work at the draft treaty according
to the status of the sovereign Republic of Tatarstan; to consolidate its
international legal status, the principals of territorial integrity,
absolute observance of human rights irrespective of national, religious and
other differences; to respect people's history, customs, culture, languages
and national dignity; to ensure mutual delegation of authorities and subjects under
jurisdiction according to agreements.
