on the results of the negotiations between the delegations
of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan

The negotiations between the delegations of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan took place in the city of Moscow on January 21, 1993.
The following officials took part in the negotiations:
President of the Russian Federation,B.N.Yeltsin;
President of the Republic of Tatarstan, M.Sh.Shaimiev;
Chairman of the Supreme Soviet of the Republic of Tatarstan F.Kh.Mukhametshin;
Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Soviet of the Russian Federation, N.T.Ryabov;
Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, V.S.Chernomyrdin;
Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan M.G.Sabirov;
Vice-president of the Republic of Tatarstan, V.N.Likhachev;
Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, S.M.Shakhrai;
Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Y.F.Yarov;
People's Deputy of the Republic of Tatarstan, G.V.Kobelev;
Adviser to President of the Republic of Tatarstan, R.S.Khakimov.
Draft treaty on mutual delegation of subjects under jurisdiction and authorities of state power was discussed during the negotiations between the state bodies of the Russian Federation and the state bodies of the Republic of Tatarstan. The Parties had an exchange of opinions on legal, political and economic problems. It was noted that at present the relations between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan must be developed according to the treaty constitutional principal.
In the course of negotiations the Parties came to conclusion on the primary elaboration of the agreements in the field of economic, environment protection, foreign economic activity and etc. Special attention was paid to the programs against crime.
The President of the Russian Federation, B.N.Yeltsin, and the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, M.Sh.Shaimiev, appreciated the activity of delegations and experts. The Parties came to an agreement on problems, submitted for consideration. It was noted that Presidents' participation gave the new impulse to the elaboration of the draft treaty. The next meeting of the delegations was fixed in the middle of February, 1993.
