D E C L A R A T I O N
on the entry of the Republic of Tatarstan
into the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS)
Proceeding from the necessity of searching the recovery from political crisis and depression which are the consequence of USSR disintegration;
sharing the aspiration of independent and sovereign republics to integrate into the Commonwealth of States on the basis of equality;
expressing the will of multinational people of the Republic of Tatarstan to preserve the unity of peoples, where the rights and freedoms of individual of any nationality will be guaranteed in full measure;
implementing the Declaration on state sovereignty of the Republic of Tatarstan,
the Supreme Soviet of the Republic of Tatarstan declares the entry of the Republic of Tatarstan into the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) by the right of a founder.
