ACADEMY OF NONLINEAR SCIENCES1ANS was organized in 1995 (Moscow). The activity of the Academy of Nonlinear Sciences aims to assist the development in the above mentioned fields of sciences, in the professional consolidation of scientists working in different fields of nonlinear sciences and their applications, and also to assist in the coordination of fundamental and applied researches. Academy is interconnected with the Russian Academy of Sciences, the International Federation of Nonlinear Analysts, Universities, and all other institutions and organizations who are interested in the development of nonlinear sciences and their applications. The Presidium is situated in Moscow. (The departments of ANS were created in different regions of RUSSIA and World). State Universities constitute the basis of every department of ANS, by contributing annual fees of US$ 1000. 2
3To be elected to the ANS, scientists must have a Doctor of Science degree, have enriched the non-linear sciences with contributions of paramount theoretical and applicational significance and have contributed to the training of highly skilled scientific staff. The admittance of applicants to membership of the Academy is carried out by Presidium of Academy, on the base of their personal written candidature and recommendations of two members of Academy, by ballot of more than half of the Presidium. Honorary members of the Academy can be outstanding Russian or foreign scientists who obtained great results in nonlinear sciences. The admittance of legal entities as members of the Academy is carried out on the base of the decision of their chairmen and of the Presidium of the Academy. 4

The chairman of Branch must be a recognized high level scientist. The secretary of the Branch must be a person who practices both English and Russian languages, and has Doctor degree. The Branch participates in the work of the Academy bodies through a representative, who may be the chairman or the secretary of the Branch. All activities of the Branch is carried out accordingly to the statutes of the Academy. The Branch can be authorized as a legal entity: in this case, it works accordingly to its own statutes, which have not to be in contradiction to the statutes of the Academy, and registers to the local legal entities. At present in ANS there are 8 Branches in Russia and other countries; in framework of ANS three scientific Journals are organized and published (in Russia, Kazan, and RSA, Durban). 6President of ANS is Vladimir M.Matrosov In order to participate in the competition to enter the ANS, it is necessary for an applicant to send to the President of the ANS the following documentation:
