Faculty of automation and electronic instrument-making is one of
educational Centers of Russia for
teaching experts in the field of precision instrument making and automation,
first of all, in a defence industry, already 50 years!
In all times designig, making and using devices and automatic
instruments are accessible to the competent peoples and, as a rule, talented.
Besides
for the history the devices evolution had the analogous way, what was done by
mankind from a spark, hewn from stone, up to an atomic weapon.
Modern educational Programs of Faculty require from students to acquire knowledge of multidisciplinary character: mechanics and electronics; optics and electrical engineering; theory of systems and microprocessor engineering; standartization and certification; design management and computer sciences;...
The Faculty has Programs for training Bachelors and Masters (five
directions: instrument making; automation and control; optical
engineering; electrical engineering, electromechanics and electrotechnics;
metrology, standartization and certification), and Engineers (ten
specialities: standartization and certification; instrument making;
electric equipment of flight vehicles; electric equipment of autocars; control,
stabilization and navigation systems; aviation devices; bioengineering and
medical systems; optical electronic devices; control and computer science in
engineering systems; robots and robotic systems; engineering environmental
protection).
It is fundamental Education, that is based on Scientific Schools of
Faculty:

School of Stability (P.A. Kuzmin,
V.M. Matrosov), continuing traditions of well-known Kazan School of Mechanics
and Stability, founded by N.G.Chetayev;

School of Optimal Control (I.I.
Akhmetgaleev);
·
School of Electrical Micromachines
and Electric Drives (L.I.Stolov, G.V.Eroshin);
·
Research and Computer Design of
electrical power systems of autonomous objects;
·
Measuring converters;
·
Engineering environmental
protection (on the basis of industrial practice center "INGEKOL" and
Tatarstan Branch of the Russian ecological Academy).
Faculty is training the qualified specialists with fundamental knowledge in areas: mathematics, theoretical mechanics, optimal control, navigation systems, precessional devices, ... The speciality on navigation systems is very worth-while one at present. Among students on this speciality there is Laureate awarded by “Boeing’2000” Grant. Professors and Scientists of Faculty are working successfully in various scientific domains:

dynamics of aerospace objects,
automation and control;

flight safety of airborne vehicles;
·
new medical devices and systems;
·
systems of orientation and control
of moving objects (marine, air, underground...)
·
optical devices of broad assignment
ground;
·
engineering environmental
protection;
·
energy-saving technologies and systems,
information and automatic systems;
etc.
Faculty students are also actively working here. Students researchs are
obtaining special prizes of scientific conferences, exhibitions, competitions.
The large contribution to forming scientific and engineering mentality is
introduced by activity of the students in a student's designer bureau SDB-3.
So: on Faculty there are fine
possibilities to obtain good Education, with fundamental and universal
Knowledge!
