XXVI-th Academic Conference on Astronautics

Russian Academy of Science, Russian Avia-Space Agency and Russian Academy of Science Commission by working out of the space mastering pioneers legacy have held during three days from 30th of January to 1st of February 2002 the yearly XXVI academic Conference on astronautics which are devoted to the memory of academician S.P.Korolyov and the other famous native scientists – the pioneers of space devepoment. These Conferences are great all-Russian scientific event. Scientists and specialists of academic and branch institutes, scientific-industry unions, higher educational establishment and other organizations of Russia and CIS took part in the event. The rocket-space community of Russia and CIS  were represented by more 150 organizations. More 300 scientists and specialists made a speech on the Conference; the total number of participants was 1500 people.

The held XXVI academic Conference by astronautics were represented by the main scientific branches:

-            the scientific legacy of the space mastering pioneer and design school of thought of rocket-space technology;

-            the fundamental problems of astronautics and state of its individual branches development;

-            a place of astronautics to solve questions of social-economical and strategy development of modern society;

-            humanitarian aspects of astronautics;

-            investigations by history of cosmic science and technology.

Five reports were heard on the plenary sitting on the 30th of January 2002. “State and Astronautics” – academician B.E. Chertok; “Fifteen Years of the Orbit Station “MIR” Flight” – academician U.P. Semyonov, N.I. Zelenschikov, U.I. Grigoryev, A.V. Markov; “About Life and Scientific Works of Academician B.V. Raushenbakh” – corresponding-fellow of the Russian Academy of Science V.P. Legostaev; “Creative Path of Academician V.P. Mishin” – candidate of technological science V.D. Vachnadze, doctor of technological science V.K. Bezverby; presentation of N.S. Korolyova’s book “Father”.

Over the next two days the following sections were working. “Investigation of scientific works of the space mastering pioneers”; “Flying Devises. Design and Constructions”; “Originators of Aerospace Engine-construction and Problems of Flying Devise Engine Theory and Structures”; “Cosmic Energetic – Actual Problems of Creation and Safeness Securing, the Key Technologies”; “Applied Celestial Mechanics and Movement Control”; “The History of Rocket-space Science and Technology”; “Astronautics Development and the Fundamental Problems of Gas Dynamics, Burning and Heat Exchange”; “Economic of Space Activity”. “Astronautics and Sustainable Development of Society (conceptions, projects, solutions)”; “Astronautics and Culture”; “Science Consuming Technologies in Rocket-space Technology”; “Objects of Overground Infrastructure of Rocket Complexes”; “Ballistics-navigation Securing, Navigation and Robot-technique Systems of Rocket-space Means”; “Aerocosmic Education and Problems of Youth”.

Three intersectional subject sittings were held in the framework of the Conference:

-            devoted to 90th birthday of academician M.K. Yangel;

-            to the memory of academician V.P. Mishin;

-            to 95th birthday of academician C.P. Korolyov.
