SCIENTIFIC
SCHOOL-CONFERENCE Actual
problems of thermophysics and physical hydro- gasdynamics (Alushta, IR of Crimea, Ukraine, September,
2004) A.A.Khalatov, A.V.KuzminInstitute of technical thermophysics, NAS,
Kiev, Ukraine N.N.Kovalnogov Ulyanovsk state technical University, Russia Since 20 to 26 of
September in Alushta (IR of Crimea, Ukraine) the second scientific
school-conference "Actual problems of thermophysics and physical hydro-
gasdynamics" took place. It aimed to restore the lost links between the
scientists and research organizations from countries of CIS and also to involve
young people in discussion and investigation of actual aspects of thermophysics
and physical hydro- gasdynamics. Previous (1st) conference was held
at the same place in 29.09.2003-05.10.2003 and was restarted after a 12-year
break. During the conference a decision was taken to hold it annually and to
raise its status to the international level. The conference was organized by
National Academy of Science of Ukraine and Institute of technical thermophysics
of Ukraine NAS, by research-and-production adopting company "Triacon", by
Ministry of science and education of Russia. Informational support was
performed by journal "Industrial Thermophysics", by Russian-American journal
"Actual problems of aviation and aerospace systems: processes, models,
experiment". 43 representatives from Russia, Lithuania and Ukraine took part in the
conference. Among the participants there were 1 corresponding member of
National Academy of science of Ukraine, 10 Doctors and 21 Candidates of
Science. They represented Institute of Thermophysics and Institute of
theoretical and applied mechanics of Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of
Science (SB of RAS), Keldysh Institute of applied mathematics (Moscow),
Lomonosov Moscow University, Joffe physicotechnical Institute of RAS, Institute
of applied mechanics of RAS, Institute of physics and power engineering - SSC
of Russian Federation (Russia), Ivchenko Design Bureau "Progress" (Ukraine),
Antonov Aviation Design Bureau (Ukraine), NASU Institute of technical
thermophysics and NASU Institute of Gas, Kazan state technical University (Russia),
Lithuanian power engineering University and a number of leading scientific
research organizations and Universities from CIS countries. The main trends of the conference program were:
uniphase
flows;
heat
transfer and hydrodynamics in multiphase flows;
radiation-convective
heat transfer and heat conduction;
heat
transfer and hydrodynamics in mass forces fields;
fuel
combustion and gasification;
heat
and mass transfer in technological processes, building constructions and
environmental protection;
numerical
methods and their applications in thermophysics and hydraulic gas dynamics. According to the 1st
conference's recommendation the trend of magnetoplasma aerodynamics as a part
of uniphase flows trend was included in the 2nd conference's
program. Such an extension of the range of considered aspects resulted in
effective interaction of representatives from adjacent scientific fields and
made all the participants of conference very interested in it. Plenary report, invited lections and reports in
sections were held at the conference. Several discussions were held
at the conference where a high level of submitted papers and reports was
registered. Some recommendations were given concerning further perfection of
holding the conference and an acute need to involve young scientists.
Annotations of the papers were published in "Actual problems of thermophysics
and physical hydro- gasdynamics" series (Publ. of Ukraine NAS, Rel.2, Part 1).
The full versions of the conference's papers were published on a CD in the same
series (Rel.2, Part 2). Some papers are recommended for publishing in journals:
"Actual problems of aviation and aerospace systems: processes, models,
experiment" (Russia-USA) and "Industrial Thermophysics" (Ukraine). The third School-Conference "Actual
problems of thermophysics and physical hydro- gasdynamics" was organized at
19-25 of September 2005 (Alushta). A detailed information and all the materials
