The present issue of the International Scientific Journal "Actual Problems of Aviation and Aerospace Systems: Processes, Models, Experiment" (No.2 (29), Vol.14, 2009) proceeds with the jubilee subject started in previous special issues and associated with the 50-th Anniversary of the launch of artificial Earth satellite (1-st one in the World) performed by the Soviet Union, which marked the beginning of the Space Era for tellurians. The issue presents scientific and analytical reviews, meditations on problems and prospects of further development of Astronautics in Russia and in the World, reflections on significance of space scientific-and-technical heritage for the whole World Community (in the field of science, engineering and culture); scientific researches and original results.
