INTERNATIONAL CLASSIFICATION OF FUNCTIONING, DISABILITY AND HEALTH RECOMMENDED BY WHO - A NEW STAGE IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF REHABILITOLOGYIn 2001 World Health Organization replace the International Classification of Impairments, Disabilities and Handicaps (ICIDH) by the International Classi-fication of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICFDH). The ICIDH was mostly concern about the outcomes of the diseases, while the ICFDH is focused on the contents of health. The impact of such changes to the principles of medical care system is discussed. PECULIARITIES OF CANDIDOSIS IN NEWBORNNewborn infants are at a risk group for development of candidosis among children of early age. To study clinical and microbiological features of candidosis infection in newborn infants with high perinatal risk, 80 mother-child pairs were under observation at a maternal hospital. Results indicated about the antenatal origin of candidosis. MODERN PRINCIPLES OF ANTIFUNGAL AND ANTIBACTERIAL THERAPY IN CHILDREN WITH ATOPIC DERMATITIS COMPLICATED BY STAPHYLOCOCCAL AND FUNGAL INFECTIONSComplication of atopic dermatitis by staphylococcal and fungal infections requires the inclusion of antibacterial and antifungal drugs. Combined therapy of complicated forms of atopic dermatitis with inclusion of systemic antibiotics and antimycotics had not only short-term, but also long-term positive results which was supported clinical and laboratory data. GENE POLYMORPHISM OF METHYLENE-TETRAHYDROFOLAT REDUCTASE, HYPERHOMOCYSTEINAEMIA AND POSSIBILITIES OF ITS CORRECTION IN CHILDREN WITH MIGRAINEMolecular-genetic testing of DNA for methylene-tetrahydrofolat reductase (MTHFR) in 112 children with migraine (66 with and 46 without aura) was made by the PCR method. Homocysteine level was measured in 80 children by liquid chromatography method. The results support the suggestion that MTHFR gene, responsible for mild hyperhomocysteineamia, is a genetic risk factor for migraine. Therapy with folic acid and vitamins B6 and B12 significantly decreases the serum homocysteine level in migrainous patients. CHEMOREFLEXES ORIGINATED IN VERTEBRAL ARTERY AND CAROTIC SINUS ZONES DURING ACIDOSIS AND ALKALOSIS IN EXPERIMENTAL AND CLINICAL CONDITIONSThe role of chemoreceptors of vertebral arteries and carotic reflexogenous zones in external respiration and systemic blood pressure regulation was studied. Activation of these zones by lactic acid led to stimulation of respiration and elevation of blood pressure. The opposite responses of cardiorespiratory system were observed by TRIS buffer (3-aminomethene). VASODILATION FUNCTION OF INTRACRANIAL AND PERIPHERAL ARTERIES AND COGNITIVE DISORDERS IN PATIENTS WITH ARTERIAL HYPERTENSIONPathogenetic mechanisms of cerebral blood circulation disorders were studied. It was found that abnormalities of brain artery reactivity take part in pathogenesis of cognitive disorders in patients with arterial hypertension. New data about functional conditions of brain and peripheral arteries in relation to the stages of arterial hypertension were obtained. It was shown that cognitive deficiency directly correlated with the degree of vasodilatory impairment of brain and peripheral arteries. ARTERIAL HYPERTENSION IN LOCOMOTIVE DRIVERS WITH MYOFASCIAL NECK PAIN SYNDROMEThe role of cervical spine condition and myofascial pain syndrom as pathogenetic reasons for development of arterial hypertension were studied in 400 men working as locomotive drivers and driver assistants. New effective prophylactic and therapeutic measures for arterial hypertension were introduce according to stage of myofascial pain syndrom in these workers. PUNCTURE METHODS OF TREATMENT OF PATIENTS WITH DESTRUCTIVE FORMS OF PANCREONECROSISA new method for surgical treatment of patients with destructive forms of pancreatitis was developed and introduced. This method increased the treatment results, decreased the mortality of patients with severe forms, as well as reduced early toxemic and late postnecrotic complications. OPTIONS OF THERAPEUTIC TACTICS IN HEPATIC ENCEPHALOPATHY55 patients with liver cirrhosis were studied to choose the therapeutic method for hepatic encephalopathy. It was shown that the usage of pathogenetic therapy of hepatic encephalopathy - course of extracorporal treatment with cryopheresis - reduced progression of hepatic encephalopathy, which helped to optimize the treatment. DYNAMIC SCINTIGRAPHY OF HEPATOBILIARY SYSTEM IN THE DIAGNOSIS OF POST-CHOLECYSTECTOMY SYNDROMComparative evaluation of different diagnostic methods of Oddi sphincter dysfunction was made in 30 patients with post-cholecystectomy syndrom. It was shown that dynamic scintigraphy of hepatobiliary system is a highly informative method to diagnose such pathology. COMPARATIVE EVALUATION OF DIFFERENT MICROSURGERY METHODS USED IN VARICOCELE181 patients with varicose vein disease of vas deference were treated by reconstructive microvessel surgery methods since 1991. In 92 cases surgical method by Ivanessevich was used. More recently microvessel correction by reverse testuculo-saphenous by-pass operation was used. It was found that modified microsurgical correction by testuculo-saphenous by-pass operation is pathogenetically approved surgical choice in varicocele. CLINICAL IMPORTANCE OF REGULATORY AUTOANTIBODIES IN WOMEN WITH COMPLICATED OBSTETRIC ANAMNESISRisk of complicated pregnancy was evaluated by a new method based on serum level of regulatory autoantibodies binding with DNA, Fc fragments of immunoglobulins (rheumatoid factor), collagen, protein MP-65, protein S100, b2-glycoprotein I and auto-antibodies to b2-glycoprotein I. It is concluded that the changes in the serum level of embriotropic regulatory autoantibodies directly relates to pathogenesis of gestation disorders. SOCIAL AND HYGIENIC CHARACTERIZATION OF STUDENT'S LIFE STYLESocial and hygienic life style of 758 students of Kazan universities was studied. It was found that about quarter of the students had low-income life. Not all the student facilities meet the sanitation requirements. Most of the students do not follow the healthy life style rules. Most of the students are anxious about their future employment, possibility to lost health, impoverishment. POSSIBILITIES TO INFLUENCE THE PSYCHOLOGICAL PROCESSES AND SCHOOL CHILDREN STATUS BY DIET OPTIMIZATIONFood rations of pupils at secondary schools with use of food products of a new composition based on seaweed laminaria have been tested. Efficiency of nutrition correction in relation to psychological processes and states has been shown: the level of productivity and the index of heteronomy have increased, the speed of information processing and the speed of thinking processes have increased at the background of the high level of the nervous system's mobility. DRINKING WATER AND INCIDENTS OF URINARY TRACT MALIGNANT TUMORSHigh incidents of urinary tract malignant tumors in several cities of Chuvash Republic is correlated with high level of sulfates, nitrates, nitrous, ammonia, copper, ferrous, silicon in drinking water and its chlorination. Based on these data some non-specific methods for prevention of urinary tract malignant tumors were suggested. TRAINING OF SKILL WORKERS IN KAZAN STATE MEDICAL ACADEMY FOR HEALTH CARE SERVICE OF THE REPUBLIC OF TATARSTANAnalysis of postgraduate and additional professional education of health care workers of Republic of Tatarstan during last five years was given. The measures to accomplish the National Project "Health" are discussed. EPIDEMIOLOGICAL MONITORING OF NOSOCOMIAL INFECTIONS IN A SURGICAL HOSPITALThe program of epidemiological monitoring of nosocomial infections was introduced in a surgical hospital. 4145 case histories of patients surgically treated from January 1997 to December 2003 were analysed. Nosocomial morbidity was 14,9%. Data about the bacterial sensitivity to antibiotics was summarized and it was recommended to use cephalosporins of III-IV generations, aminoglycosides and carbapenems. © 1995-2008 Kazan State University |
