NEAREST AND REMOTE RESULTS OF RENAL ARTERY STENTING IN PATIENTS WITH ATHEROSCLEROTIC VASORENAL HYPERTENSIONModern aspects of integrated clinical and laboratory diagnosis of atherosclerotic renal artery stenosis and the choice of tactics endovascular revascularization were evaluated. The near and distant clinical and technical efficiency of endovascular treatment of vasorenal hypertension of atherosclerotic genesis was considered. It was shown that angioplasty of renal arteries during atherosclerotic stenosis is an effective and safe method for restoring of the blood flow. CLINICAL AND NEUROLOGICAL CT AND MRI STUDY OF CEREBELLUM STROKE103 patients at the age of 37 to 78 years with cardiovascular risk factors and leading vestibular and atactic syndrome were examined for their clinical and neurological state by MR-tomography. Clinical and neurological MRI characteristics of 98 patients with cerebellar infarction, and hemorrhage in the cerebellum with a favourable outcome were evaluated. It has been shown that the leading method of diagnosis of cerebral stroke is a brain MRI. UNCOMPLICATED PRIMARY CERVICAL SPINE TRAUMA: APPROACHES TO DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT TACTICS IN THE REMOTE PERIA comprehensive su rvey of 91 patients with different neurologic symptoms and post-traumatic changes in the spine was carried out. The main causes of complications of primary uncomplicated cervical injuries in the remote period were spine deformation, development cicatricial adhesions, and pathological mobility in a damaged vertebral segment. During development of cervical myelopathy symptoms, direct indications appeared for su rgical intervention to correct the deformation of the backbone, eliminating compressing impacts and ensure the stability of the spine through the use of improved methods of correction and stabilization of spinal mobility using different metal. CATAMNESTIC ACTIVITY OF ANTIBODIES TO DNA IN AUTOIMMUNE THYROIDITISInteraction between purified serum antibodies IgG (IgG-Ab) to native double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) received from patient with autoimmune thyroiditis and molecules of chicken's erythrocytes dsDNA have been investigated using atomic force microscopy (AFM). Typical AFM-images of IgG-Ab and dsDNA molecules have been obtained. It was shown that incubation of dsDNA with IgG-Ab causes significant dsDNA length decrease with IgG-Ab fixation on tips of short and middle and also in central part of long and middle length fragments of dsDNA molecules. Conclusion about the presence of IgG-Ab to dsDNA with DNA-hydrolyzing activity in the serum of patient with autoimmune thyroiditis was made. COMPOSITION OF ERYTHROCYTE MEMBRANE LIPID ACIDS IN PATIENTS WITH LEFT VENTRICULAR DIASTOLIC DYSFUNCTION WITH THYROTOXICOSISAcid composition of erythrocyte membrane lipids in patients with thyrotoxicosis and left ventricular diastolic dysfunction was studied. An increase in the sum of satu rated fatty acids and decrease in unsaturated, mostly fraction of polyene fatty acids, were found. The biggest decline was noted in the level of arachidonic acid. The usage of traditional thyrostatic therapy did not normalize the studied indexes. CHANGES OF THE LIPID ACID COMPOSITION OF DNA-RELATED LIPIDS IN RAT SPLEEN DURING FOLAT-INDUCED HYPERHOMOCYSTINEMIA AS A RESULT OF DNA GENOMIC INSTABILITY SummaryIn the model of folat-induced hyperhomocystinemia in rats, the influence of the blood plasma homocystinemia on properties of genomic DNA and the li pid profile o DNA-associated spleen lipids was studied. These profiles can serve as biomarkers in the study of molecular mechanisms of pathogenesis, in particular folat-induced hyperhomocystinemia. INDICATORS OF HUMORAL IMMUNITY IN PATIENTS WITH ALLERGIC DERMATOSIS SummaryHumoral immunity factors were examined in 88 patients with allergic dermatosis (true chronic eczema and atopic dermatitis). Patients of both groups had expressed a significant correlation between changes in the state of humoral immunity and dermatologic pathology. Identified alternation of immune status supports the necessity to evaluate the effectiveness of therapy allergic dermatosis and include immunomodulatory drugs in treatment. ROLE OF SOMATOTROPIN HORMONE AND SOME SOMATOMEDINS IN THE PATHOGENESIS OF REPRODUCTIVE DISORDERS DURING THE NERVOUS ANOREXIA SYNDROMEA role of somatotropin hormone (STG) in the pathogenesis of reproductive disorders among adolescent girls with anorexia nervous syndrome was studied. It was found that in patients with hypersecretion of STG there is a low level of insulin growth factor-1 and declining production of insulin growth factor-1, indicating the formation of somatropin-resistance, which was more pronounced at anorectic stage. PREDICTORS AND SPECIFIC FEATURES OF OUT-HOSPITAL PNEUMONIA WITH SEVERE ACUTE INFECTIOUS INFLAMMATORY PROCESSSeveral predictors of severe out-hospital pneumonia were identified. Three social factors - uncomfortable family life, passive social status of the patient and alcohol abuse, and two clinical factors - duration (in years) of cough and the degree of existing obstructive bronchitis are suggested as additional indicators for timely diagnosis. CHARACTERISTICS OF LATE VENTRICULAR POTENTIALS OF THE HEART AND ANALYSIS OF THEIR DYNAMICS BY LOCALISATIONResults of analyses of the major quantitative characteristics of late ventricular potentials to detect life-threatening rhythm disorders, especially in patients with acute coronary syndrome, are presented. Analyses of late ventricles potentials and their quantitative characteristics are given. HOLDING INOTROPIC SUPPORT BY LEVOSIMENDAN DURING ACUTE CIRCULATORY FAILUREResults of haemodynamic evaluation in the therapy of acute cardiac failure with levosimendan, a nonglycosidic inotropic compound, are presented. 33 clinical cases were studied, including 8 cases with decompensated chronic heart failure and pulmonary edema, and 25 cases with a developing acute heart failure in the nearest postoperative period. 12 hours after levosimendan infusion neither the systolic, nor diastolic blood pressure changed significantly. Levosimendan did not affect the heart rate, but significantly increased the index of systolic right ventricle function and decreased general pulmonary vascular resistance. EVALUATING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF CAPECITABINE IN THE TREATMENT OF DISTANT METASTASES OF BREAST CANCER86 patients with breast cancer metastases in the bone, lungs and pleu ra treated by anthracycline, capecitabine and radiation therapy were under observation. It was found that treatment with capecitabine was more effective that with anthracycline. Capecitabine reduced or diminished the clinical manifestations of disease, improved the quality of life of cancer patients. The two-year survival rate with capecitabine was twice higher than that with anthracycline.
