NOTIONAL ART AND THE IDEOLOGY OF THE SOVIET PERIOD

In the author's opinion, the fact that composer Saidashev is at present counterpoised to the composer Zhiganov accounts for their having had connections with different social classes of the Republic of Tatarstan during the Soviet period, and, consequently, different demands formulated by these classes.

THE ETHNIC PSYCHOLOGY OF TARTARS AND THE SALIKH SAIDASHEV PHENOMENON

The authors regard Oriental and Western arts as reflections of time and space categories. In their opinion, the space category is characteristic of the Western art, while the time category manifests itself more distinctly in the Oriental art.

Saidashev's creative work is regarded by the author as a sign of profound changes that took place in the psychology of the Turkic people living in the Volga region at the end of the 19-th and the beginning of the 20-th century. As a result their perception of the time and space categories neared to that of the European peoples. The authors think that Saidashev managed to reflect all the changes of the ethnic psychology in his creative work and formed a new aesthetic system on that basis.
