National Anthem of the Republic of Tatarstan

The State anthem of the Republic of Tatarstan arranged on the melodies of composer, People's Artist of the Russia, People's Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan RUSTEM YAKHIN.

LAW ON THE ANTHEM OF THE REPUBLIC OF TATARSTAN
Approved by resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan dated 27.08.1993, No 512.

1. The anthem of the Republic of Tatarstan is the symbol manifesting the sovereignty of the Republic of Tatarstan. Respect for the anthem of the Republic of Tatarstan is the duty of every its citizen.

2. The State anthem of Republic of Tatarstan is performed:

- on opening and closing the formal occasions and sessions devoted to holidays celebrated in the Republic of Tatarstan;

- on hoisting the National flag of the Republic of Tatarstan during ceremonies conducted by the state bodies;

- when meeting and seeing off the heads of states and governments arriving at the Republic of Tatarstan with official visits, official delegations of the CIS and foreign countries after performing the anthem of the other state;

- on opening the monuments and other edifices commemorating the most important historic events in life of the Republic of Tatarstan;

- dally, at the beginning of radio broadcasts of "Tatarstan" Radiocasting Company.

3. The anthem of the Republic of Tatarstan may also be performed at the other events by decision of state and public bodies, management of enterprises, institutions and organizations observing the provisions of present Law.

4. The anthem of the Republic of Tatarstan may be performed in orchestral and instrumental rendition. The use of audio-recording is also allowed.

5. At public performing of the anthem of the Republic of Tatarstan the public stands up while listening.

6. The performing of the anthem of the Republic of Tatarstan at the bodies of internal affairs, Committee for the State Security (KGB), military units located in the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan, and saluting by privates and officers while performing the Anthem is regulated by the rules established by the Ministry of internal affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chairman of the KGB of the Republic of Tatarstan and Commander of the Kazan garrison.

7. When the Republic of Tatarstan conducts events outside the territory of the Republic, the anthem of the Republic of Tatarstan is performed in accordance with the International protocol and with consideration for the practice of the country of stay and local traditions.

8. The anthem of the Republic of Tatarstan must be performed in precise correspondence with the musical wording of the anthem approved by the Resolution of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan dated July 14 th, 1993.

9. The manifestation of public disrespect and insulting the anthem of the Republic of Tatarstan is to be sued in the order fixed by law.

10. Control over the precise administration of the present Law is laid upon the leaders of state and public bodies, enterprises, institutions and organizations.
