Construction business is represented by 600 construction organisations.
It engages 11,9% of the total number of working labour force of Tatarstan
and makes 9,7% of GNP and 12,0% of the national income of the Republic.
The largest construction organisations of Tatarstan are
KAMGESENERGOSTROY concern, TATSTROY concern, TATAGROPROMSTROY, TATNEFTESTROY and TATENERGOSTROY
associations, TATNEFTEKHIMMONTAZH, TATNEFTEPROVODSTROY trusts.
Construction material industry is represented by 214
organisations. Tatarstan produces reinforced concrete item constructions,
commodity concrete and mortar, bricks, non-ore construction materials,
asphalt concrete, light roofing and hydro-insulating materials, porous
fillers, lime and gypsum stone.
