FOREIGN TRADE
Foreign trade of the Republic of Tatarstan made in 1995
US$ 1,923,700,000 including US$ 1,383,000,000 for foreign countries and
US$ 540,000,000 for CIS countries.
Major trade partners are:
Germany- 28%, Switzerland - 10%, Poland - 7,4%, USA - 4.8%,
Hungary- 4,2%, Lithuania- 4,2%, Korea- 4%, Czechia - 3,9%, Finland - 3,8%
CIS: Ukrain - 69,1%, Belarus -14,5%, Uzbekistan - 6,5%, Uzbekistan - 6,4%,
Kazakhstan - 5,6%).
Export structure (foreign countries) is as follows:
- oil and oil products - 48,7 %
- means of transportation - 16,4%
- organic chemical products - 13,3 %
- sinthetic rubber - 8,2 %
- plastic materials and products - 5,1%
- machinery, equipment and spare parts - 1,5%
- other products - 6,8%
Tatarstan exports some 30 types ot petrochemical products,
compressors, optical devices, KAMAZ heavy duty trucks, equipment,
transport vehicles (including spare parts).
