Approved by the Resolution of the Supreme Soviet (State Council) of the I. The National flag of the Republic of Tatarstan is the symbol of state sovereignty of the Republic of Tatarstan. 2. The National flag of the Republic of Tatarstan represents a right-angled cloth with horizontal strips of green, white and red colors. The white strip makes up 1/15 of the flag's width and is placed between equal in width strips of green and red colors. The green strip is above. The length/width ratio is 1:2. 3. The National nag of the Republic of Tatarstan is hoisted: The National flag of the Republic of Tatarstan may also be hoisted at, ceremonies conducted by state and public bodies, enterprises, institutions and organizations. 4. The National flag of the Republic of Tatarstan is placed in the Session Hall of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan in case the President of the Republic of Tatarstan takes part in the session of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan. 5. The National flag of the Republic of Tatarstan and its depletion, irrespective of their size, must always correspond to color and schematic images enclosed to the present Law. 6. The regulations on application of the present Law are issued by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan. |

Approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the 1. The National flag of the Republic of Tatarstan hoisted in accordance with the Law on the State flag of the Republic of Tatarstan, on buildings, ships of river fleet and other transport vehicles must precisely correspond to the description of the National flag of the Republic of Tatarstan given in the Article 2 of the Law on the National flag of the Republic of Tatarstan, and the requirements stipulated in the article 5 thereof. 2. The National flag of the Republic of Tatarstan is hoisted on houses on December 31, January 1-2, March 8, May I, May 9, August 30, November 6, November 7, and on the days of other holidays and ceremonies when the National flag of the Republic of Tatarstan in accordance with the Article 3 of the Law on the National flag of the Republic of Tatarstan is hoisted on the buildings of all governmental, public and private institutions, organizations and enterprises of the Republic and local jurisdiction. 3. Hoisting the National flag of the Republic of Tatarstan on buildings mentioned in paragraph 3 of the Article 3 of the Law on the National flag of the Republic of Tatarstan, but for December 31, January 1-2, March 8, May I, May 9, August 30, November 6, November 7, is made on the holiday dates by decision or consent of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, heads of city and local administrations. |

4. Responsibility for hoisting the National flag of the Republic of Tatarstan on buildings of enterprises, public organizations and institutions with the maintenance of the requirements set forth in the Law on the National flag and the present Instructions is laid upon the leaders of such enterprises, organizations and institutions and in case with houses - on house administrators and house-owners. 5. The National flag of the Republic of Tatarstan is hoisted on bow mast of self-propelled vessels floating along inner waterways of the Republic of Tatarstan on December 31, January 1--2, March 8, May I, May 9, August 30, November 6, November 7. 6. Hoisting the National flag of the Republic of Tatarstan at ceremonies and official events conducted by governmental and public bodies, enterprises, institutions and organizations is carried out under consent of leaders of such bodies, enterprises, institutions and organizations. 7. While hoisting the National flag of the Republic of Tatarstan simultaneously with the national flags of other states the size of the National flag of the Republic of Tatarstan must correspond to the sizes of the national flags of the states. 8. Control over the precise administration of the Law on the National flag of the Republic of Tatarstan and the present Instructions within the Republic of Tatarstan is laid upon the local bodies of state power.
