State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Tatarstan

LAW ON THE STATE COAT OF ARMS OF THE REPUBLIC OF TATARSTAN
Approved by resolution îf the Supreme Soviet (State Council) of the Republic of Tatarstan or February 7, 1992, No 1415-XII.

1. The State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Tatarstan is the symbol of its state sovereignty.

2. The State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Tatarstan represents the image of winged snow leopard with the round shield on its side, with its front paw raised, against the background of the sun disk, placed in the framing of Tatar national ornament with the lettering at its bottom: "Tatarstan".
In the colored depletion of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Tatarstan the sun is of red color, a snow leopard is of white color, the framing Is of green color, and the ornament and lettering are of golden color.

3. The depletion of the State Coat of Arms of The Republic of Tatarstan is placed: 1) on the buildings of the State Councilof the Republic of Tatarstan, the Presidium of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, the residence of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, the buildings of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ministries and State Committees, other bodies under the jurisdiction of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, the State Court and other courts of the Republic of Tatarstan, the buildings of the local Councils of People's Deputies of the Republic of Tatarstan and their executive bodies; 2) in the halls where the sessions of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan are being held, the sessions of the Presidium of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, in the halls of the State Court and other courts of the Republic of Tatarstan, and also in the premises of state registrations of birth and marriage; 3) on the seals and documentation forms of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Presidium of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministries and State Committees of the Republic of Tatarstan, other bodies under the jurisdiction of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, the State (Parliament) Control Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan, State Court and other courts of the Republic of Tatarstan, local Councils of People's Deputies of the Republic of Tatarstan and their executive bodies, state notaries as well as enterprises, institutions and organizations under jurisdiction of the Republic, for which the right of placing the depletion of the State Coat of Arms onto their seals and documentation forms is provided by the legislation of the Republic of Tatarstan; 4) on the official publications of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Presidium of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, President of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The legislation of the Republic of Tatarstan provides for other cases of obligatory reproduction of the depletion of the State Coat of Anus of the Republic of Tatarstan.

4. The depletion reproducing the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Tatarstan must always. irrespective of its dimensions, correspond precisely to the color or black-and-white picture enclosed to the present Law.

5. The regulations for application of present Law are issued by the Cabinet of Ministers.

INSTRUCTIONS ON THE APPLICATION OF LAW
Approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan dated December 29th, 1992, No 718.

l . The State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Tatarstan is placed on the buildings, in the premises, on the seals and documentation forms, official publications, must correspond precisely to the description of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Tatarstan stated in Article 2 of the Law of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Tatarstan, approved by Resolution of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan dated February 7, 1992, as well as to the requirements of Article 4 thereof.

2. The depletion of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Tatarstan Is placed: a) on the buildings of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Presidium of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, the residence of President of the Republic of Tatarstan, the buildings of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, the ministries and State Committees, other bodies under Jurisdiction of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, the State Court and other courts of the Republic of Tatarstan, the buildings of the local Councils of People's Deputies of the Republic of Tatarstan and their executive bodies; b) in the halls where the sessions of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan are being held, the meetings of the Presidium of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, in the halls of the State Court and other courts of the Republic of Tatarstan, and also in the premises of state registration of birth and marriage; c) on the seals and documentation forms of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Presidium of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ministries and State Committees of the Republic of Tatarstan, other bodies under the Jurisdiction of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, the State (Parliament) Control Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan, State Court and other courts of the Republic of Tatarstan, local Councils of People's Deputies of the Republic of Tatarstan and their executive bodies, the state notaries as well as enterprises, institutions and organizations under jurisdiction of the Republic, for which the right of placing the depletion of the State Coat of Arms onto their seals and documentation forms is provided by the legislation of the Republic of Tatarstan; d) on the official publications of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Presidium of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, President of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan. The legislation of the Republic of Tatarstan provides for other cases of obligatory reproduction of the depletion of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Tatarstan.

3. Responsibility for placing the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Tatarstan on the buildings of enterprises, institutions and organizations, supervision over requirements stated in the Law on the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Tatarstan and the present Instruction is laid upon the leaders of these enterprises, institutions and organizations.

4. The depletion of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Tatarstan is used in the seals of state enterprises, institutions and organizations.

5. Placing of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Tatarstan during ceremonies and official events conducted by the state institutions and public organizations is made upon the approval of the leader of tile institution or organization.

6. In cases of placing of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Tatarstan together with the state coats of arms of other states the dimensions of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Tatarstan must correspond to the dimensions of the state coats of arms of other states.

7. Control over the precise administration of the Law on the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Tatarstan and the present Instructions within the Republic of Tatarstan is laid over the local state bodies.
