PRODUCTION OF MEDICAL INSTRUMENTS FOR MICROSURGERY

The project is aimed at increase of productive capacity to 120,000 instrument pieces per year ( for ophthalmology, vascular surgery, urology) including export.

Available production area ( 80% complete construction), modern experimental base of science, qualified personnel, patents on medical instruments' production technologies (American patents of the CELITA share holders).

Investment required - short-term credits to the amount of US$ 500,000.

Recoupment period of the project - 3 years.

MANUFACTURING OF DENTAL CARBIDE BURS

The project is aimed at establishment of production of dental carbide burs in full scope according to International Standard ISO with productive capacity of 12 mln pieces per year. Burs' working part is made of fine dispersed tungsten-carbide alloy which secures dense structure of the working part and high durability in tooth tissue processing.

The enterprise is in possession of necessary production area, buildings, infrastructure. For burs' production local raw materials are used. The enterprise has a stock of the raw materials for the whole production programme.

To implement the project it is necessary to acquire equipment for longitudinal and diametrical thread, heads' and necks' polish and line for fusion of blank to shank.

Good outlook for export delieveries to Egypt, Germany, USA, Italy, CIS countries, etc.

Volume of necessary investment - US$ 295,300.

Form of co-operation: short-term loans, floatation of joint venture, joint production, compensation agreement.

PRODUCTION OF UNITS AND DENTAL HEADS AND DIAMOND INSTRUMENTS

The project foresees establishment of production of pneumatic electrical dental units (2,000 pieces per year), diamond burs for therapeutic stomatology (500,000 pieces per year) and dental heads (200 pieces per year). Articles of such quality will be produced for the first time in Russia.

Available is qualified personnel, production area, necessary productive capacity, infrastructure.

To implement the project it is necessary to acquire equipment (metal-cutting, polishing, lathes, galvanic equipment - 2 lines, unit for diamond covering, control-and-measuring equipment).

Volume of investment required - US$ 9,800,000.

Project's recoupment period - 5 years.

Form of investment - credit.

DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT PRODUCTION

The project is aimed at manufacturing of devices for research of gas exchange and urination processes of vital functions, units for production of disinfectant solutions. Possible production of either simple devices and elaborate diagnostic complexes.

Fields of application: pulmonology, urology, reanimatology, etc.

Necessary production spaces, infrastructure, scientific development are available, as NPO is a head developer of diagnostic units for the Ministry of Healthcare of Russia.

Required investment for acquisition of equipment constitutes US$ 300,000.

Project's recoupment period - 3 years.

Form of co-operation: joint venture, co-operation, acquisition of licences.

PRODUCTION OF INFUSION SOLUTIONS

The project suggests establishment of infusion solutions' production aimed at meeting healthcare system's demand for large volume of sterile solution produced under up-to-date technologies according to international standards.

The modular project can be sufficiently extended in order to meet the needs of the Republic of Tatarstan and neighbouring regions in infusion solutions, i.e. sodium chloride, novocain, glucose, etc. (investment required amounts to US$ 6 mln-US$ 34 mln).

The enterprise is in possession of necessary production spaces, qualified personnel, marketing outlets.

It is necessary to purchase equipment for the solution's production.

Recoupment period - 3 years, investment form: credit.

H6 GP "Tatarstanformacia"
PRODUCTION OF INFUSION SOLUTIONS

The project foresees production of infusion solutions (0.9% sodium chloride in 400 ml bottles, 10% glucose solution -400 ml, 0.25% "novocain" - 200 ml, 4% potassium chloride - 200 ml, Ringer solution-400 ml).

Daily demand for infusion solution in Tatarstan constitutes 5,000 l per year. Equipment's capacity will enable deliveries to other regions of Russia.

In 1995 GP "Tatarstanformacia" and JVC "Berlin Chemi" registered a Tatar-German joint venture for manufacturing of infusion solutions.

Volume of investment required (for the site preparation, development and design, purchase of equipment) - US$ 6,850,000.

Recoupment period - 5 years.

Co-operation form: joint venture, credit.

H7 Scientific/Production Company "Tekh.A.Med"
UPGRADING OF MEDICAL INSTRUMENTS MANUFACTURING

The project is aimed at increase of production of the medical dental instruments (dental explorers, instruments for fillings, spatulas, elevators, mouth mirrors, diamond discs and burs), expanding of the nomenclature of the items of production, manufacturing of devices for rehabilitation.

Export delieveries to Turkey, Iran, Southwest Asia, Middle West, India, etc. is planned.

It is necessary to acquire modern equipment for mechanical processing, covering, thermo processing, plastic packing.

Investment required - US$ 2.510.000, recoupment period - 5 years.

Investment form: compensation agreement, joint venture, credit.

ACETYLSALICILIC ACID (ASPIRIN) PRODUCTION

The project is aimed at establishment of acetylsalicilic acid (aspirin) production. Acetylsalicilic acid is the main component of the aspirin-containing medicines (febrifuges, paregorics, antiphlogistics, etc.). The planned capacity - 1,000 tons per year.

Marketing outlays - pharmaceutical plants of Tatarstan and neighbouring regions. In Russia deficit of acetylsalicilic acid constitutes 8,500 tons.

Volume of capital investment required - US$ 4 mln, recoupment period - 3 years.

H9 AO "MKS-Micropharm"
ESTABLISHMENT OF EUROPEAN TYPE PHARMACY

The project is aimed establishment of the wholesale-and-retail pharmacy of modern European type with order departments, consultation service department, department of veterinarian medicines and medical instruments, etc.

There are no pharmacies of such type in the republic.

Volume of the services rendered will amount to US$ 90,000 and US$ 200,000-300,000 in retail and wholesale respectively.

Marketing research has been made. Properly qualified personnel is available.

Volume of investment required - US$ 2.2 mln, recoupment period - 4 years including 10% annual interest payments. Co-operation form: joint venture (50%/50%), credit.
